Her piece, EmbedED III, premiered at the just-held Warrnambool Organ Festival, where she elegantly brought to life the interactions of patients, families and staff. The local choir, meantime, amped up the hospital theme by wearing SWH scrubs.
The performance has been recorded (audio and video) and a high-quality product is expected soon. There’s also talk of a second performance. We’ll keep you posted.
We congratulate Jeanette on her outstanding achievement and thank her for being such a wonderful ambassador of our EmbedED program. We also thank the patients, families and staff who consented to being involved, and the Warrnambool Organ Festival committee for so kindly including EmbedED III in its three-day program (after the pandemic twice-thwarted earlier premiere plans). And, most importantly, we thank former emergency department director Dr Tim Baker for having initiated our EmbedED project.
