Being built alongside the Camperdown Hospital as we speak, the $39.6m Camperdown Residential Aged Care facility will replace the existing 48-year-old Merindah Lodge.
Our $562,000 appeal to help with the furnishing and equipping of the facility was launched on March 14. In just 15 weeks, we’ve received $337,560 in donations. Additional to the $119,600 yet to be raised to complete the furnishing and equipping of the remaining 13 bedrooms, other initiatives also need donor support including $4,850 to deck out the nail and hair salon. Fifty people are being invited to each donate $97 to achieve this. So far, 21 people have done so.
With June-30 looming, appeal manager Suzan Morey says now’s the time for anyone wanting to make a 2023-24 tax-deductible donation. This can be done by emailing Suzan at smorey@swh.net.au, personally visiting our Camperdown Hospital cashier, or donating online at www.southwesthealthcare.com.au
