Building bigger and better health care for the South West.

Construction activities are set to commence next week at the Emergency Department (ED) of South West Healthcare’s Warrnambool Campus, located on Ryot Street. These works will result in changes to the entry points to the department.

In consideration of patient safety, once construction begins (and protective hoarding and fences are in place) motor vehicle and pedestrian access to the emergency department forecourt (entry on Ryot Street) will be limited. A dedicated 2-minute urgent patient drop-off zone will be established within the ED forecourt, while all other areas will be restricted and reserved exclusively for construction personnel and ambulances.

To address the temporary closure of the current ED, drop off zone, South West Healthcare in collaboration with the Warrnambool City Council has designated both 15 and 30-minute patient pick-up and drop-off zones, along with disability parking access directly outside the ED entrance on Ryot Street

Car parking remains unaffected on Ryot and Koroit St (time limits apply) while longer term car parking options are available in South West Healthcare’s multi-storey car park (free) on Ryot Street as well as the underground car park, accessible from Timor Street (payment required).

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this construction period.
