We’re $1,000 closer to owning our first MolecuLight thanks to an incredibly generous donation from the Warrnambool and District Old Time Dance Club.

This piece of sophisticated medical equipment will be used by our wound management team in Warrnambool Community Health, and by surgical teams in our Warrnambool operating theatres.

A MolecuLight is a handheld imaging device that uses violet light to detect bacteria in wounds. Studies show that using one can increase healing, reduce the need for antimicrobial dressings and decrease antibiotic usage.

We need to raise $20,700 to buy our own and, thanks to the dance club, we now have $6,751. We’ll have even more after this Saturday’s pop-up FRANKIE AND CO shop, here in Warrnambool at the Cally Hotel from 9am–3pm, because 20% of the day’s takings is going to be donated to our MolecuLight Appeal.
