October is the designated month for celebrating Mental Health, culminating in World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

It’s World Mental Health Day today which provides us the opportunity to raise awareness about mental health and overall wellbeing. We are proud to announce that our Board Director, Dr Geoff Toogood was recently awarded 2023 Lived experience winner of the Australian Mental Health Prize. Dr Toogood was motivated by his own mental health battles to launch the charity, CrazySocks4Docs which aims to normalise mental health conversations with healthcare professionals. Outside of his efforts in CrazySocks4Docs he is a highly regarded consultant cardiologist, Beyond Blue Ambassador, impressive swimmer and South West Healthcare Board Director. Congratulations to Geoff on his achievement!
