Over the past week, our SWH Respiratory Assessment Clinic has screened 235 people. On the same week, a month ago, that figure was 426.
It is vital that anyone with symptoms (in the absence of an alternative diagnosis that would explain the clinical presentation of any of the following) such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath and/or runny nose gets tested. Of the 2,415 current active cases in Victoria as of 11.59pm last night, 125 are in regional Local Government Areas (LGA) under stage 3 restrictions. Of these 125 active cases (an ‘active case’ is defined as someone who has tested positive, is currently in isolation, being DHHS-monitored and has not yet recovered), three are within our SWH catchment area, two in Warrnambool and 1 in Corangamite. Another 12 are in neighbouring Colac Otway.
This Sunday, Premier Daniel Andrews will announce what’s to come for all Victorians, restrictions-wise, in the weeks ahead.
