Two weeks before this year’s 2026 Murray2MoyneCycle Relay, a group of Camperdown locals decided to enter a team for the first time. Two weeks later, they’d completed the 383K ride AND raised $7,500.
This week, team members Nick Hose, Melissa Pitman (team manager) and Cara Booth, pictured here with our Camperdown Hospital acute nurse unit manager Kirsty Mitchell, donated their fundraising proceeds to pay, outright, for our Camperdown Urgent Care Centre’s very first treatment/triage chair ($7,090) AND kick-started our next Camperdown Hospital appeal by donating the first $410 we need to buy our palliative care suite what’s known as a Cuddle Blanket. Worth $11,115, this blanket is a cooling system used by hospitals, hospices and funeral homes worldwide to allow families to spend some extra time with their loved one.
