Social Support Groups

Our Social Support Groups are a friendly and relaxed place for people to come and get involved in community activities that keep them active, healthy, independent and connected to friends.

We offer a range of activities and excursions that aim to improve health and wellbeing and are tailored to the interests of our members. Our groups are a great way for older people to share their wealth of knowledge and life experiences in a friendly, warm and welcoming environment.

We also provide support and respite for the carers of people attending the group.

We value the input and feedback of members and provide lots of opportunity for members to contribute to the program design.
Our emphasis is to provide enjoyment and fun!

Transport to and from your home to the centre is available on request.

Morning tea and lunch provided.

  • How can I join?

When you meet the team a referral will be made for you on the My Aged Care website. The team will then ask you some questions and your health and what you would like to do in the group.

For further information about the groups or eligibility criteria please contact your local centre.

  • Is there a cost?
