Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program for people living with chronic lung disease and experience symptoms of breathlessness. The aim of our Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is to maximise your independence, help reduce symptoms and promote wellbeing.

If you join the pulmonary rehabilitation program, you will attend an 8-10 week group program that is individually tailored to your current physical ability. The sessions run for 2 hours, twice a week. The first hour is education and the second hour is monitored exercise in our gymnasium.

After you have completed the group program, you can continue to attend a maintenance exercise class.

    Pulmonary Rehabilitation would be suitable for you if you suffer from:

    • Emphysema
    • Chronic bronchitis
    • COPD/COAD
    • Bronchiectasis
    • Asbestosis
    • Chronic asthma
    • Pre or post lung surgery
    • Pulmonary fibrosis
