We are pleased to announce the successful completion of upgrades to Warrnambool’s Community Mental Health facilities.
These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible environment for our services users and staff.
Key upgrades include:
- Refurbished working spaces for mental health workforces: During the initial phases of the project, we completed refurbishment works to the working spaces for our Older Persons Mental Health team, Child and Adolescent Mental Health team and Mental Health Triage and Access team.
- Newly Designed Reception Area: A modern, welcoming reception area has been created to enhance the first point of contact for visitors and service users.
- Updated Waiting Rooms: The waiting area has been updated with comfortable seating and improved aesthetics to create a calming environment, with a dedicated adult waiting area and separate paediatric waiting area.
- New Assessment Room: A new assessment room has been added, providing a private and dedicated space for consultations
- Expanded Office Space: On the west side of the building, we have expanded office space to better accommodate our growing workforces and improve service delivery.
As a result of works now being complete, our Community Mental Health reception and waiting will relocate back to its original location at Koroit Street, Warrnambool effective 2 September 2024. Following this relocation, Community Health reception will too relocate to the original location on Ground Floor at South West Healthcare’s Community Health building, beside the GP Clinic.
We are confident that these improvements will significantly enhance our communities experience at our facility and thank all consumers and visitors for your patience and understanding during temporary relocation periods and impactful construction phases.
