We’re getting closer to our $120,000 target for a Breast Tumour Locator System for our Warrnambool theatres. Our latest donation is the result of Style 105’s Strut for a Cause fashion parade where Debbie Arnott and her wonderful team of models (pictured), meet-and-greeters, raffle ticket sellers and sponsors joining forces to raise $1,225.
Added to recent donations from the Allansford CWA ($2,000), IGA Warrnambool ($1,000) and the $779 raffle proceeds of our SWH Women’s Health Unfiltered event in Allansford we’re now at the $86,079 mark.
We’re thrilled with the level of community support this appeal is receiving because the sooner we get a Breast Tumour Locator System the sooner we can more precisely identify breast lesions that cannot be felt by touch.
If you’d like to help us close the gap on the $33,921 we still need to raise, here’s a couple of ways you can…
- You could make a tax-deductible donation. Call our appeal manager Suzan Morey on 5564 4100 to do this.
- You could support our SWH Warrnambool Auxiliary’s screening of *The Devil Wears Prada 2* on Thursday April 30. Call the auxiliary’s Margot Johnson on 5562 4664 for tickets (which include a lovely morning tea).
- You could support All Seasons Nursery’s Saturday May-9 extravaganza complete with live music by Slim & the Sparkyplugs, Sippy Sisters Brew Co coffee, and a Lions Club sausage sizzle. To be held at its 205 Lava Street site from 9am–4pm it’s perfect timing for your Mothers’ Day shopping PLUS $2 from every plant sold will also be donated, as will the proceeds of a fabulous raffle.
