Physiotherapy Antenatal Classes

South West Healthcare physiotherapy offers physiotherapy antenatal education sessions for women during pregnancy. This class will take you through the physical changes that occur during pregnancy, discuss ways to manage common aches and pain associated with pregnancy. As well as inform how to do Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises, Abdominal bracing and appropriate exercise options during pregnancy.

The class aims to teach you active techniques that can be used to enhance control over your pregnancy body, labour and birthing experience.  The knowledge and skills gained will help you use your body to progress your labour and ultimately, aid in coping with the intensity of birthing with minimal intervention.

  • Who can access the Physiotherapy Antenatal Classes?

    These classes are available to you when you are in your second trimester or later. If you are interested in learning about your physical health during pregnancy please book a class with us.

  • When are these classes held?

    Physiotherapy Antenatal Classes are held on the second Monday of the month, 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

  • How can I book to attend?

    Book your place online via trybooking.

  • Can my partner attend classes?

    Yes! We love partners to attend. If you don’t have a partner, you can bring another support person with you. You will need to book for two people to attend.
