The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is so impressed with our COVID preparedness planning at Merindah Lodge that it’s asked permission to share the extraordinary things we’re doing with other residential aged care facilities.

The ADF yesterday visited our Camperdown aged care facility as part of a joint Commonwealth and Victorian Governments initiative to review and assist aged care facilities for their readiness to manage a COVID outbreak.

Tom Mogg (left) and Tom Claeys toured Merindah Lodge with infection prevention coordinator Jen Lukeis (from left), service development executive director Jamie Brennan, Camperdown campus manager Janine Dureau-Finn and aged care services manager Leanne Lucas to assess our planning documentation and processes.

‘They were very impressed and have asked if we’re happy for them to pass on to other facilities several of our processes,’ Janine says.

Well done to everyone working in, and with, Merindah Lodge. This ADF recognition of your hard work and care is so deserved and we couldn’t be more proud of the high standards you continue to attain to keep our residents safe.
