Accommodation Costs
This is for your accommodation at Leura Aged Care. Some people will have their accommodation costs met in full or in part by the Australian Government, whilst others will need to pay the accommodation price agreed with the aged care home. The Department of Human Services will advise which applies to you, based on assessment of your income and assets.

Refundable accommodation deposit (RAD)
This is when you pay the full amount yourself. It is the accommodation price you agreed on with your provider.

Daily accommodation payment (DAP)

This is when you pay the full amount yourself. It is the accommodation price you agreed on with your provider.

User Contributions
The Australian Government subsidies a range of aged care services in Australia. If your personal circumstances allow, it is expected you’ll contribute towards the cost of your care if you can afford to do so.

Rent Assistance
Rent assistance can be paid to aged pensioners who live in rented accommodation. You or your authorised representative will need to contact Centrelink to apply for rent assistance.
