The Camperdown Turf Club is the latest donor to our Camperdown Residential Aged Care Appeal. Club president Anthony Finn and vice president Rose Henry proudly presented $9,200 to our redevelopment and infrastructure executive director Jamie Brennan today.

This wonderful gift will be used to complete the furnishing and equipping of one of the facility’s 36 bedrooms.

The overwhelming support of locals has this week seen our appeal cross the $400,000 mark. As of today, $411,541 has been received. Additional to the Camperdown Turf Club’s generosity, over the past fortnight some incredibly generous individuals have also made their mark. Many gifts from $50 to $5,000 have been donated.

Another $150,459 needs to be raised before this $562,000 appeal reaches its target. If you, your club or your workplace would like to get involved here’s some of the things we still need help to pay for: the equipping/furnishing completion of 11 bedrooms (at $9,200 each), a $3,800 commercial BBQ, a $4,000 TV for the gym and $16,000 for the therapy garden and outdoor furniture. Meantime our mission to raise the $4,850 needed to equip and furnish the hair & nail salon has hit the half-way mark. The search continues for 25 more people to each donate $97 – as 25 kind people have already done.
