Members of South West Healthcare's Redevelopment team, Paul Hurley and Simon Fogarty captured during the construction phase of the brand-new patient only car park on Ryot Street, Warrnambool.
This car park will be used by patients of our outpatient services, offering convenient and close parking for patients with scheduled appointments at the Warrnambool campus, including haemodialysis, community health services and medical outpatient clinic appointments.
Located opposite the front entrance of the Warrnambool’s Base Hospital on Ryot Street, this car park will offer safe and easy access for service users. Access will be controlled via a unique pin code and will be provided to these patients at the time of their appointment booking.
In addition to the patient only car parking, a further 70-space staff car park is also set to open on Monday 15 July 2024 at the Warrnambool Showgrounds. This dedicated car park for South West Healthcare’s staff and volunteers will provide free, all-day parking facilities, with a free shuttle bus service running between the health service and the car park to pick up and drop off staff every weekday morning and evening.
These new car parks join the South West Healthcare funded 69-space, free, all day car parks which opened to the public on Merri Street in February this year.
We hope that these 170+ new car parks, located across the hospital precinct create ease of access for those who use, and work at South West Healthcare.
