As one of the region’s most significant users of natural resources we’re embracing the challenge to provide quality healthcare while minimising harm to the environment.
Already, we’ve employed Elvira Hewson as our first-ever environmental sustainability project officer, we’ve developed an environmental management plan to drive environmental sustainability initiatives focusing on water, waste and energy efficiency across all of our SWH services and campuses, and we’ve established a sustainability committee – which is where YOU come in.
We’re looking for two people from outside of SWH to join this committee to increase collaboration with the broader community. If you’re passionate about the environment and would love to be involved in a voluntary capacity for a two-year period you’ve got until the end of this month to put in an Expression of Interest. To find our more you can contact Elvira on 5563 4068 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
‘It’s an exciting time to be bringing together our need to provide the community with outstanding healthcare along with our responsibility to do this in a way that supports environmental sustainability. This integrated focus will ultimately contribute to our health and wellbeing in south west Victoria, now and in generations to come,’ Elvira says.
